Privacy Policy
All series on Minisode are works of fiction created with the help of artificial intelligence, including the scripts and the character voices. Characters, names, places and events are imaginary. Any resemblance to real people, living or dead, or to real events is coincidental. We do not use your personal data to create these stories.
This Privacy Policy explains how Lupus Bilgi Teknolojileri Limited Şirketi ("Minisode", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Minisode mobile app, the website at minisode.app and related services (together, the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details, such as your email address, display name and sign-in method (for example Apple or Google sign-in).
- Messages you send us, for example when you contact support.
- Your preferences, such as app language, favourite series and notification settings.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: which series and episodes you open, how far you listen or read, and which features you use.
- Device data: device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone and an app or advertising identifier where you allow it.
- Diagnostic data: crash reports and performance logs.
Purchases
Subscriptions and coin purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your full card details. We receive a confirmation of the purchase, the product you bought and its status so we can unlock content for you.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service, keep your account working and remember where you stopped in each episode.
- To unlock content you paid for and manage subscriptions and coins.
- To recommend series and send notifications about new episodes, if you turn notifications on.
- To understand which series and episodes people enjoy, in aggregated form, so we can decide what to make next.
- To fix bugs, prevent fraud and keep the Service secure.
- To answer your support requests.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Türkiye)
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) apply, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (providing the Service), our legitimate interests (improving and securing the Service), your consent (for example optional notifications or advertising tracking, which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligations.
4. Who we share information with
- Service providers who host our servers, store data, send notifications, provide analytics and crash reporting, and help with customer support. They may only use your data to provide services to us.
- App stores (Apple and Google) for payments and subscription management.
- Authorities when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the Service.
- A buyer or successor if Minisode is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
The AI services we use to write and voice our stories receive only our own scripts. They do not receive your personal data.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records (for example purchase records) for legal or accounting reasons.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to or restrict some processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:
- Delete your account in the app settings or by emailing us.
- Turn off notifications in the app or in your device settings.
- Limit ad tracking in your device settings.
To make a request, email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in Türkiye, the Personal Data Protection Authority, KVKK).
8. Children
Minisode is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country (16 in some EEA countries). Some series include mature themes. We do not knowingly collect data from children below these ages. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and other measures to protect your data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. This website
The minisode.app website does not require an account. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with Google. We do not set advertising cookies on this website.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
